We loved Cozumel so much on our first trip that we booked a return trip as soon as we returned home. The water was a little colder but the diving was no less spectacular.
On our first day of diving we met up with a great group of people and we decided to dive together the entire week. After letting Aldora Divers know that we wished to remain a group, we began referring to ourselves as the Dark Side Dive Team – we have cookies. And yes, someone always brought cookies along on the boat.

This was certainly the trip for sea turtles which were seen on almost every dive, including the night dive. During one dive, a huge loggerhead dropped down between all of us without a care in the world as he lunched on conch and let us take photos.
High winds cancelled diving on Steve’s birthday so we played tourist in the city with another couple from our group. That evening the Dark Side Dive Team got together for dinner, including “sexy coffee”, a mayan concoction that contains coffee, ice cream, Kaluha & Xtabentun.
The week was fun filled, both below the waves and on land. We made some great new friends and are all planning to dive together again next year in Roatan.
